Sunday Mornings

Our Children's Program
Nursery for newborn babies to one year / Toddlers We offer a one and
two year class as well as a two and three year old class. Parents
of two year olds decide if they want a playroom or classroom environment
for their child. Karyn Henley curriculum is used in the latter. We
provide loving care and a clean safe environment for your child. Children
begin in their classroom where they are signed in and assigned a number.
They are signed out when you personally return to pick up your child.
If you are needed at any time during service your number will appear
in red on a number panel in the front right corner of the sanctuary.
We provide snacks and drinks to all our children in the toddler room.
If your child has allergies or requires special medical attention
you can note that on the sign-in sheet when you arrive. Preschool
through Third Grade Upon arrival and sign in, children meet in the
children's center (behind the bookstore) for age appropriate worship
before being sent to their respective classes. They are then dismissed
with their teachers to their age corresponding classrooms. Parents
need to pick up their children from their class after service. Children
will not be released to anyone other than the sign-in parent.
Curriculum
2 years old to Kindergarten - early childhood based program written
by Karyn Henley. 1st and 2nd Grade - elementary based program written
by Karyn Henley. 3rd to 6th grade - age appropriate program written
by Karyn Henley. Along with lessons, our teachers provide different
activities and age appropriate games and crafts. Snacks are provided
during snack time. Special rewards are given when children have birthdays,
bring their Bibles, friends, and relatives or simply participate during
class time.
Teachers
Most of our teachers are volunteers from the Calvary Chapel congregational
family. We have been blessed with professional teachers and dedicated
parents to serve in this wonderful ministry. Each has met all of our
requirements to work with your children, which includes passing a
criminal background check with the Department of Justice.
Junior Helpers
This year we are starting a new ministry called Junior Helpers. This
ministry is for 5th through 8th graders who are interested in serving
in our children’s ministry department. They will be helping the teachers
during Sunday school and Wednesday nights Calvary Kids Club. We believe
that part of teaching God’s word to our older children is to teach
them to be servants. Your children at this age are eager to serve
and we believe they should be given an opportunity to serve the Lord.
Learning to work with the younger children and learning what being
a servant is all about will bless your Junior Helper. It is our desire
that eventually some of your children will become classroom teachers
