Hey, Calvary Fremont –
Here’s Christmas in a nutshell –
The Christ of Eternity became the Christ of History who becomes the Christ of Preaching who becomes the Christ of Experience.
It’s not enough that God loves you.
It’s not enough that He sent His Love to live among us.
It’s not enough that this Love is announced to you, and you are invited to live in this Love.
The circle is completed when you believe God and put your faith in Jesus Christ.
The apostle John puts it this way in 1 John 1:1-4 –
What was from the beginning…
That’s the Christ of Eternity.
…what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life…
That’s the Christ of History.
…and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us — what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also…
That’s the Christ of Preaching.
…so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.
That’s the Christ of Experience.
Christmas is all of eternity and history and proclamation combining to draw you into a love relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God – sent to save you from your sins.
How can you unwrap this Gift of Heaven that God has place before you? How does the Christ of Eternity, and the Christ of History, and the Christ of Preaching become the Christ of Experience? The apostle Paul said that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved! Belief in the resurrection and confession that Jesus is Lord unwraps the Gift of Salvation. You will experience what all of eternity and history and preaching have been building toward – that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. You can become part of the Christmas Choir exalting the name of Jesus to the glory of God! Accept Jesus today – unwrap God’s glorious Gift to you. And then begin to attend a local Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, Bible-teaching church.
Be blessed and stay healthy and follow Jesus and have a glorious Christmas! Pastor Tim
