Hey, Calvary Fremont –
Psalm 22 asks the question, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” Psalm 23 answers the question, “I never have and I never will.”
Even though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I fear no evil, for You are with me. Psalm 23:4
Even when you walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Debt, the Lord is with you.
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6
Even when you walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Depression and Disease and Divorce, the Lord will not forsake you, but will walk with you all the way through.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
When you wander and lose your way; when you turn your back and walk away; when you are lost and lonely and thinking crazy thoughts; when the conspiracy theories of the podcasts you listen to mess with your head – ponder this:
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,” even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. Psalm 139:7-12
