Hey, Calvary Fremont –
OK, I finally figured it out. I discovered the key attribute of God. The Big Three Classic Attributes of God are His omnipotence – He is all powerful; His omnipresence – He is everywhere at the same time. Concerning His omnipresence, someone put it like this: His center is everywhere; His circumference is nowhere. And then there is His omniscience – He knows everything.
So, out of The Big Three Classic Attributes of God, which is the most important, the most strategic? ? I know, it’s an awkward, silly, who cares? kind of question – nevertheless, I figured it out. Come, let us reason together.
What if God were omnipresent, but not omniscient or omnipotent? He would be everywhere at once but wouldn’t know what to do – and He would be impotent to do it anyway.
What if God were omnipotent, but not omniscient or omnipresent? He could very well do a lot of damage wherever He was because He wouldn’t know what to do with all that strength. He could win a lot of strong-man competitions – but that’s about it.
I figured out in my semisience that omniscience is the greatest attribute of the three because if you’re omniscient, you can figure out how to be omnipresent and omnipotent – plus all the rest.
And this brings us to the mystics of all religions who tell us that we all have the Spark of the Divine within us. Mankind is not morally flawed; they assure us we are merely ignorant of our divine selves. We don’t need salvation from our sins, what we need is salvation from our ignorance. And when we become enlightened (Buddha means: The Enlightened One), we will see that we are not fallen creatures – we are gods, albeit gods who forgot we were gods.
But wait a minute, I thought that one of the classic attributes of God is omniscience. If one of the attributes of divinity is omniscience, how on earth could I ever forget that I was a god? If you have to remind me that I am omniscient, that invalidates your operating assumption and your foundational premise is flawed. The story line is that men were gods, but somewhere, lost in the mists of time, we forgot that we are gods. A god who forgets he is a god was no god to begin with!
Yahweh raises His mighty voice through His prophet –
“I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God.” Isaiah 45:5
