Hey, Calvary Fremont –
“If God is the all-powerful God of history, why doesn’t He stop all the killing and all the wars?”
God says, “Why don’t you stop it? I’m not the one shooting the bullets and launching the missiles and dropping the bombs.”
People look around and see all the bloodshed and all the evil and it sours them on God. It should sour them on man! People are blowing up people and yet we still think that people are basically good and God is the one to blame! Yikes!
The Nazi soldiers were brutally loading the Jews on to boxcars to transport them to the ovens of the death camps. One young man turned to his rabbi and asked accusingly, “How can you believe in God anymore?” The rabbi replied, “How can you believe in man anymore?” Indeed.
